SERVICES

Here at Walk With You Counselling we are dedicated to providing client-centred, trauma-responsive, strengths-based, and solution-focused therapy to help individuals navigate life's challenges and achieve holistic well-being. We integrate evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness practices to promote self-awareness, resilience, and personal growth.

Individual Counselling

Individual counselling services available conveniently through telephone and video link sessions. Whether you are navigating life’s challenges, seeking personal development, exploring emotions, addressing mental health difficulties, or wanting to work through a traumatic experience, our experienced counsellors are here to guide and support you each step of the way.

Although everyone’s counselling process is unique there will always be some consistencies. The first session allows for an initial assessment of your situation - where you will be invited to speak openly about your situation, and if appropriate provide the counsellor with some insights into your past also. From here goals will be considered that feel helpful and achievable, and together you and your counsellor will explore strategies to move you closer towards your goals.

Areas of life we can support with;

  • Depression

  • Anxiety - personal, social, school refusal

  • Life transitions - divorce, retirement, new parent

  • Work/career concerns

  • Grief and loss

  • Stress

  • Relationship difficulties (individual work only)

  • Trauma - recent or historical experiences

Children & YOUNG PEOPLE

Children and young people can struggle at times as they move through their developmental journey, and Walk With You Counselling believes strongly that children need to be heard, seen and supported to allow for them to work through difficult times.

We can support children and young people with a range experiences including

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • School refusal

  • Grief and loss

  • School pressure

  • Stress

  • Life transitions - family separation

Counselling for children and young people via videolink offers a flexible and accessible way to provide mental health support remotely.

Counselling for children and young people via videolink can be an effective way to provide mental health support, leveraging technology to overcome barriers and create a supportive and engaging therapeutic environment.

However, it needs to be noted - that at times videolink can also be an uncomfortable space for young people - referral options will be discussed if the online platform isn’t working for your child / young person.
